Terma’s top-of-the-line SCANTER 4002 radar is now offered as a co-mounted Primary and Secondary Surveillance Radar solution, combining PSR and MSSR on a single platform to deliver a unified, high-resolution air picture for airport operations.
Terma is expanding the capabilities of its flagship SCANTER 4002 by introducing a co-mounted PSR/MSSR configuration for airport surveillance. Designed for Air Traffic Control, the compact integrated system enables reliable target separation and full situational awareness in dense and complex airspace while improving infrastructure efficiency.
Operating in X-band, the solution ensures strong detection of small targets and stable tracking in cluttered environments, including resilience to wind turbine interference. The co-mounted design reduces infrastructure requirements, simplifies installation, and lowers lifecycle costs, while maintaining the proven performance of Terma’s radar systems already deployed at more than 200 airports worldwide.
“With the SCANTER 4002 available as a co-mounted PSR and MSSR system, we provide a powerful and efficient solution that enhances safety, simplifies infrastructure, and provide a cost-effective upgrade path that supports future air traffic demands,” says Michael Agergaard Riis, Business Development Director, Airport Surveillance at Terma.
Set for launch at the upcoming Airspace World in Lisbon, the co-mounted SCANTER 4002 solution reflects Terma’s continued focus on delivering advanced, high-performance radar technologies tailored to the evolving needs of global aviation.
