At the international defence industry exhibition IDEB 2026, held on 12–14 May this year in Bratislava, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa is presenting for the first time the Universal Modular Tracked Platform (Uniwersalna Modulowa Platforma Gasienicowa – UMPG) which forms the basis of the BORSUK Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) – in an export configuration equipped with the unmanned TURRA 30 turret system, manufactured by the Slovak company EVPÚ a.s.

During the exhibition, PGZ is showcasing the new platform chassis integrated with the TURRA 30 turret, a modern unmanned weapon system developed by the Slovak company EVPÚ. The presentation of this solution responds to the growing international demand for modern, modular combat platforms. The TURRA 30 turret in the V9 version is a system that has been introduced into serial production and operational service with the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, confirming its high level of technological maturity, proven reliability, and operational readiness.

The presentation of the UMPG chassis—serving as the base platform for the BORSUK IFV—combined with the TURRA 30 turret is the result of Polish–Slovak cooperation and represents an example of effective partnership based on the exchange of competencies, technologies, and experience. The joint offer of PGZ and EVPÚ aligns with the trend of building European defence capabilities through industrial cooperation and the development of competitive solutions for international markets.

– Participation in the IDEB exhibition and the presentation of the export variant of the BORSUK IFV in a new, internationalised configuration constitute an important step in the development of PGZ’s export portfolio. Together with our Slovak partner, we are offering a proven, modern, and flexible solution that can effectively meet the needs of the armed forces of many countries – emphasises Arkadiusz Bak, First Vice President of PGZ S.A.

The BORSUK IFV, which forms the foundation of the new offering, is attracting interest from a number of potential export customers. BORSUK is a next-generation infantry fighting vehicle, entirely designed and manufactured in Poland. It features high mobility and amphibious capabilities while maintaining a high level of protection for both crew and dismounts. Its modular design enables flexible adaptation of the vehicle to specific user requirements, both in terms of equipment and armament. Since 2025, the BORSUK IFV equipped with the ZSSW-30 turret system has been in service with Polish mechanised forces. Thanks to its low weight and swimming capability, it is an ideal solution for countries seeking lighter tracked platforms, particularly those operating in demanding environments such as sandy terrain or wetlands. Depending on customer requirements, the BORSUK IFV can also be fitted with additional armour.

The TURRA 30 turret is armed with a 30 mm automatic cannon (with the option to select cannons manufactured either by Northrop Grumman or Slovakia’s ZTS Special), a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, and SPIKE LR/LR2 anti-tank guided missiles. The system enables effective fire during both day and night operations, in all weather conditions, while ensuring full protection for the crew operating from within the vehicle. The use of advanced observation and fire-control systems allows for precise engagement of a wide spectrum of targets—from armoured vehicles to enemy personnel.

The infantry fighting vehicle variant presented in Bratislava confirms PGZ’s capability to develop advanced combat systems that combine modern technologies, high operational performance, and NATO interoperability, tailored to customer requirements. The demonstrator vehicle presented at the exhibition is intended to showcase the integration capabilities of the IFV chassis developed by the Polish defence industry, which – epending on the requirements of a given country – can be offered with turret systems manufactured in Poland, Slovakia, or by other suppliers.
