Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, together with the General Command of the Polish Armed Forces, announced a record result achieved during live-fire exercises involving the Homar-K multiple rocket launcher system conducted as part of the allied Baltic Shield exercise.

A CGR-080 missile successfully struck a target located at a distance of 79.6 km, confirming the capabilities of the entire Homar-K system.

The Polish-configured Homar-K rocket launcher, based on the Korean Chunmoo system, represents one of the most significant examples of defence industrial cooperation between Poland and the Republic of Korea. The program includes not only the delivery of modern rocket artillery systems for the Polish Armed Forces, but also extensive industrial cooperation, technology transfer, and the development of local competencies in the areas of production, integration, and support of rocket systems. The system combines Korean launcher technology with solutions provided by the Polish defence industry, including Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and WB Group.

The Baltic Shield exercise is conducted jointly by the armed forces of Poland and the Kingdom of Denmark in the area of Bornholm and the Baltic Sea region. The exercise includes operations on land, at sea, and in the air, focusing on strengthening security in the strategically important Baltic region and responding to both conventional and hybrid threats.

The joint activities confirm the growing role of Polish rocket systems operating alongside allied forces and their importance in strengthening interoperability and deterrence capabilities on NATO’s eastern flank. The exercise is another example of coalition maneuvers demonstrating the ability of Polish artillery units to operate effectively in a multinational environment while maintaining high operational readiness of the system.
